Sourdough cannot be rushed; it requires slow, deliberate care—and that slow process became a place of healing for our family.

If you’ve wondered about our name or the bees you see in our branding, it all leads back to our sweet son, Jude, who passed away. We think of Jude as our little bee, flying close by us always. Because I never got the chance to care for my boy the way a father wishes to, I poured that love and dedication into something living in my kitchen.

I named my sourdough starter Jude.
